Privacy Statement

Hapū Wānanga ki Taranaki collects personal information from you, including your name, contact details, address, iwi and hapū affiliations, emergency contact information, health information relevant to our services, and information about your participation in our programmes.

We collect this information to:

• Provide services such as pregnancy and childbirth education

• Antenatal and post-natal support

• Communicate with you about our programmes and events

• Meet our reporting and accountability requirements to funders

• In partnership and consultation with you: make referrals to appropriate health and social services where needed.

We may share your information with relevant health and social support service providers where necessary to support you and your whānau (family), and where permitted by law.

We may also use de-identified or aggregated information (information that does not identify you personally) for reporting, evaluation, planning, and funding purposes.

Providing some information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide information required for service delivery, we may be unable to provide certain services or supports.

Your information is stored securely and is only accessible to authorised staff. We manage your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.

You have the right to access and request correction of any personal information we hold about you.
